Imagine your favorite dessert -- (say, chocolate mousse) now imagine wrapping yourself in a whole world FULL of chocolate mousse. That's what it's like to put on a LulieVision coat or jacket for the first time! The breath taking pleasure of quality faux fur and satin on bare skin creates a flush of warmth that glows in your satisfied smile. And that happens every time you put it on!
Flow
A traditional overcoat has a rectangular silhouette. When you stand still, you look svelte and stylish. But when you walk, the flat panels tend to grab or slap at your legs in an annoying fashion. My pattern was adapted from a professional costumers robe design that swings with every step. It's much fuller, catches the wind, and makes you feel like royalty. We've done comparisons at festivals and clubs, and the folks who had the traditional overcoat style found that they preferred the flow of our custom designed coats. They are sexier, roomier and move like an extension of your own body. That's the difference. This coat "walks" like romance and swings with authority.
Function
We think of these garments as 'gear'. Besides looking fabulous, they genuinely serve a vital function at at many different events including campouts, festivals, night clubs, open air concerts and the occasional all night 'vision quest'. These coats are made to withstand years of wear, (see Fabric Care instructions page). We insist on durable linings and sturdy construction. Our coats are custom made exclusively in our workshop. We use more fabric to construct the large coats. The long hems are made to be not too long, thus preventing boot heels from soiling the back, or stiletto heels from snagging the hem. The Midi length (a custom option, around the knee) was developed for clients who needed more mobility (such as riding a bike) and are easier to take to urban clubs and warmer weather events. There are deep pockets on the fur side seams big enough to accommodate beverage bottles, and (custom option) lining patch pockets for snacks, tickets, wallets, etc. There is also a hidden heavy duty zipper pocket inside one pocket to stash valuable items safely away with this option. Properly loaded up, The large coats are like having your own self sufficient mobile environment enveloping you! It leaves you free to walk, visit or dance all night in complete comfort with everything you need at hand, and it even can serve as bedding at the end of your adventures! The jackets serve the same functions on a smaller scale, and are simple to pack and bring along. And the accessory garments can be made to match any coat or jacket of your choice.

True story: Due to events beyond my control, I arrived at (The) Xara (Dulzura Festival) late on Friday. The night's festivities were well underway. What to do: spend an hour setting up a tent in the dark or go play? Answer: Go play of course! “Gothalot gets his first faux fur" should have been my latest ‘Beacon headline’. Managing the Black Rock Beacon (newspaper) left me from one end of the Playa (event site) to the other in all types of weather and often in the cold of night. The one thing I could count on is being warm and prepared to sleep anywhere! Her long coats rock!
One of the greatest things about LulieVision coats that I find is the way they flow. You just look so good walking around or just simply standing.
I not only got a (faux) fur that looked delicious, I could reverse it to create a whole new coat! It’s like getting two coats. I was particularly impressed with the finishing and quality.

Where to begin????? I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Big Red Lulie Coat. It keeps me warm, attracts fabulous people, holds my stuff securely AND-- one of my favorite features-- also works wonderfully as a comforter for 2 on cold nights (Really, I don't pack blankets for camping trips anymore). I adore (no clothing) under it too. It has an amazing silk brocade lining that feels great against the skin and it's really great to be naked AND warm while wandering around the desert.
I also "borrowed" one of her shorter furry jackets (the “Aimee” Jacket) at an event recently and absolutely HAD to have it. It's light, furry, and falls in such a way that my entire outfit is still visible AND I'm able to stay warm (plus it goes fabulously with my tutu collection). It jumped onto me and wouldn't jump back off. I'm glad she loves me and understands the fur connection ;-)
I HIGHLY recommend any and all Lulie designs and am already pondering my next style, fur, and accessories!

I couldn't conceive of going to any outdoor night event with out my LulieVision coat. I never, ever have to worry about being cold at night on the Playa or Antartica for that matter! Also, they are large enough to fit another person cuddling against my warm body - worth the price right there. One of the best features is a secret stash pocket that can hide...well you fill in the rest. I have yet to meet a dissatisfied costumer.

Lulie, I think I love you! The (coat) you made me was f-ing incredible at Oregon Country Fair, but after having the hat and coat for The Burn (Burning Man Festival) I can safely say it was the best BM investment I have made!
